the idea was to throw a live performance on location and light the entire show using the headlights of cars… specifically box trucks for this event

I built and tested this system to make it happen but never got to see it through… would love to use this idea for something in the future

BREAKDOWN:

the system works in real time
by loading a song into Ableton

then Ableton listens for the
desired frequency band within
each fixture patch,
allowing different lights to
react differently with each
element of the song uniquely

Ableton then sends each input
of these frequency bands
out through an
OSC message to Protokol

Protokol takes in the OSC and wirelessly sends it out to an ESP32

the ESP then receives the OSC data and sends it to a mini Arduino computer

the Arduino then controls the mechanism that fires the high beams of the car on and off in sync with the song
