CS_04 iPhone Flashlight Sync Concert Show System

The system works by wirelessly communicating to iPhones via wifi allowing for either pre-programmed DMX / OSC communications

Or real time audio reactive communications from an Ableton Live session, allowing the user to select which audio frequencies the flashlight system should react to

i was at a show last week and the artist on stage yelled out to the crowd “everybody put your lights up” as everyone reached for their phone flashlights

The artist went on to play a few moments of a beautiful slow song before catching everyone off guard with an aggressive beat switch

Looking out at a see of static flashlights during this drop i thought to myself, ‘man that sure is boring… it would be sick to get all the flashlight to pulse on beat with the song’

So that’s what i built…
